Prevents hydro grains from falling out of the drainage hole. An outdoor pot is often filled with hydro grains first, before adding potting soil and a nice plant. The drainage cap is specially designed to prevent these hydro grains from falling out of the drainage hole. Place the drainage cap over the (drilled) drainage hole in the pot. Then pour the hydro grains into the pot and fill the pot with potting soil and a nice plant.
