Capi Europe has been an EFSA member for more than 10 years. EFSA is a group of leading corporations from the floral and lifestyle sector who explore future trends and stimulate innovation. For autumn/winter 2016|2017, we see megatrends such as urban farming, organic or local food and craftsmanship versus high-tech gadgets, 3D printing or self-driving cars. This sounds like a paradox, but the good news is that both sides create business opportunities for the green sector.
As we mentioned before, the world seems like a paradox sometimes: it is fast and slow, high-tech and nostalgic, innovative and traditional. People deal with ever increasing digitalization and globalization and at the same time feel the urge to get back to basics. Finnish-born Sari Myohanen, senior stylist at the Home & Environment department at Peclers Paris, translated this era of paradox into four inspiring themes for the upcoming autumn/winter season: Wild Energy, Universal Authentic, Organic Dream and Visionary Baroque. We will take you through each one of them, starting with the first theme: “Wild Energy”. Whats does it say, what does it mean? Wait and see..
Wild Energy combines an industrial look with natural elements. Neutral colours are blended with industrial textures, basic shapes and lots of animal references. This theme will inspire urban and artistic people with a preference for sturdy materials and weatherworn wood. We based our Capi Nature Row collection on the natural aspect of this trend. The Nature collection was inspired by shapes and structures from nature whereby plants become one with these pots. The pots are handmade, which ensures that each piece is given a different appearance. Each pot is unique.
Wild Energy is heavily influenced by nature and mixes animal references with industrial shapes and textures. It is like a ferocious jungle: powerful, mysterious and zest. This theme will speak to urban, energetic and artistic people and blends neutral colours with slightly weatherworn wood, aged leather and metallic grids for a recycled workshop spirit. Our Capi Tutch collection closely links to this trend. The look of natural stone give these pots an industrial look&feel.
